it’s been a loooooooong while since i last logged in here. i missed having the liberty of saying whatever the fuck i want without having some ‘know-it-all’ tell you otherwise. i had the urge to log back in coz of a film i saw last night with my partner. we went to the mall to do some shopping, have dinner and have a movie date. we didn’t know what films were on so we just went with whatever we thought was good. we decided to watch the film Sleeping Beauty (2011). we both had no idea what the film was about so i guess we both had this expectation of seeing a rather whimsical or tragic version of the fairy tale. it was tragic. but in a very poignant way. it reminded me so much of the past. my past. the things i did to myself and to those around me. the feeling of wanting so much security and looking for it in the wrong places. and i reiterate, it was tragic. but i think everyone’s past is. at one point or another. there. i don’t know if i should recommend watching the film or not, but i’d say it moved me. it made me realize how some things are really important in one’s life. SELF WORTH. SELF RESPECT.
